There are several decor staples of any well-styled dining room: statement lighting, large vases, and plenty of plush seating. And one thing we’re seeing more and more of in today’s design trends is that decor once confined to a single room is now free to move about your home.
So while this week’s Instagram-inspired design looks might have their roots in the dining room, they are most definitely at home in the gorgeous foyers we found for you this week. Here are five trending decor looks you’ll want to bring out of the dining room and into the entryway this week.
1. Buffet side table
First on our list of dining room decor rocking out in the entryway? This buffet side table from @mylittleredhouse.
“Buffet side tables are traditionally found in dining room settings, but we’re fortunate enough to live in a time where you can make just about anything work in interior spaces,” says designer Devin Shaffer of Decorilla.
“Buffet side tables are the perfect choice for larger entryways and foyers, as they help fill the space while providing the perfect option for shoes and season-specific accessories,” adds Shaffer

“These stools provide lots of energy to the room,” says Corban De La Vega, chief marketing officer of Decor Matters. “They’re unique and make a bold point when entering the home. Your entryway should evoke emotion for visitors, and using splashes of color is a great way to do so. These specific stools also add a touch of glamour with the gold accents and plush material.”

3. Vase planters

“For most people, the entryways happen to be the smallest spaces in their homes and all the while the most challenging when it comes to design,” says Shaffer. “A general rule of thumb is using a less-is-more approach when designing. Sculptural elements help achieve this, especially with vases that feature green arrangements.”
